Performance and Production Review

Picture of a Florida Roadway

The Commission, in accordance with Section 20.23(2)(b)5, Florida Statutes, is required to monitor on at least a quarterly basis, the efficiency, productivity, and management of the Department, using performance and production standards developed by the commission pursuant to Section 334.045, Florida Statutes. This section requires the Commission to submit its findings of each annual evaluation to the Governor and to the legislative transportation and appropriations committees.

To this end, the Commission has prepared annual Performance and Production Reviews of the Department since 1992. The Commission also periodically reviews the performance indicators and objectives being assessed to determine their current applicability and appropriateness. Over time, the measures have changed and the "bar has been raised" so that the Department continually strives to attain higher levels of performance.
